I have the code P2248 now showing on my 2008 E280 CDI sport, when looking up the code it shows it as "o2 sensor reference voltage performance" bank 2 sensor 1.
I have been suffering some horrendous fuel economy recently and have had the codes read but nothing showed up until today and this only appeared just after I changed the thermostat on the car. As I was taking the car for a test run after fitting I had a red warning flash up on the dash showing a battery but as soon as it appeared it disappeared and is not showing as a message or as a trouble code so I think I may have just got a little water down on the alternator. Battery voltage has been rechecked and is a constant 14.3 volts whilst running even under full load with everything switched on.
I have tried to clear the above code several times but it comes straight back so I am guessing that there is a fault now with this sensor.
I thought there was only one lambda sensor on these cars and that was pre cat is there another? If there are more than one sensor which one is this?
