A200D AMG Line 2017.
Hello,

I purchased my a200d, amg line premium plus, 2017 yesterday. As soon as I drove the vehicle of the lot the tyre sensor screen came on and has detected a problem on the rear left tyre. After pumping it up to 32psi found online and resetting the sensor it has came back on, I'm not sure what else to do here? I'll attach some images of the screen.

It changes to 230-245 every now and then.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Take it back to dealer he should fix it, or replace sensor.
Welcome to the forum. :thumb:
Ok so it's the sensor, my problem is now what do I say to the dealership because all they will say is "this wasn't on when we sold the vehicle"?
Cheers for the reply !

The tyre would go down in psi if that's the case wouldn't it?
Pascal (unit) - Wikipedia
tyres deflate for a variety of reasons- puncture-poor seal/oxidation on rim-porous wheel- leaking valve. Valve core can be tested with gob of spittle on the end with the cap off and look for bubbles from air escaping.

If you bought it from a dealer so go back and tell them about the problem. You have will have a warranty?

If it occurred as soon as you drove off the lot, why didn't you go straight back?

He said the vehicle has been sitting there for over a month so I presumed the tyre just needed pumping up. But you're right I should never of had presumed.

Is your display set to kpal not psi???
I am new to this info system so unfortunately yes. I am still getting my head around how everything works.

Mm

Mmm - if they didn’t check the tyre pressures as part of the handover, what else didn’t they check? Most dealers out their cars through some type of health / safety check...

I’m guessing this wasn’t a MB dealer.

No it wasn't a MB dealer, but it is by a very highly reputable dealer. When we first went to test it, it was faultless we did a good 45 minute test drive. However I didn't purchase it on the day. As I haggled with the price I wanted all the alloys to be refurbished as they have had taken a couple of curbs in it's little life, nothing serious but as you do you get your moneys worth. It was my mistake for coming back to the dealer a few days later and not testing it again after the wheels have been refurbished. As I believe it was the guys who fixed the alloys, broke the sensor which makes sense to me.

When I went that day to purchase the dealer said it has only just came in about ten minutes ago, again I made the mistake of not test driving it again to make sure it is all fine.

Either way I have expressed this to the dealer and he is getting back to me with a reply.
