Problems with my W202 C class..

as said above, its for the 203 model 203`s, and yours is a bosch! try going to a bosch dealer and prdering, ive heard its cheaper

153+vat from the bosch dealer here
266+vat from the merc dealer
163+vat from ECP
180+vat from GSF parts
45+vat replica not recommended

I understand you could also just buy the inserts and it is a lot cheaper.

dont you guys think i could do an "ebay job"..?

If thats what your after than '45+vat replica not recommended' theres your price as said its not recomended and the chances are it wont last you a long time at all. If MB genuine is too far in price for your try direct Bosch as its the second cheapest there and still genuine as MB ones are also I presume Bosch made !

Ye, its just that im still in 6th form, so i dont have too much money lying around, thanks for the help though!!

Understandably yes, that is just the price in the liverpool area. could be cheaper in your area even though i doubt if it will be much of a difference. or you caould just buy the insert and a torx screwdriver to fit it
As it is a very important component in your fuel efficiency stakes it might be worth getting a proper one, or you can try the breakers for some cheap ones.
Good luck. when i fitted mine my fuel efficiency jumped to about 10mpg more and the cold start was spot on.

Just spoke to the guy at the garage on the phone real quickly, and he said that there was problem in the injection system (i think) and that it was sucking up air, which is causing it to stall/excess petrol. He also said it is only running on one cylinder at the moment, how many should it be...?

Doesn't sound too serious, it's got an air leak at a pipe union before the pump, possibly the filter, unless the garage mean there is an air leak into the manifold, again not too serious.

It should run on all cylinders, that makes it four.

Damn, so hopefully my Petrol wont vanish as quickly when fixed then!

Just wondering, does anybody know what may have caused the problem..? Or is just a matter of a part wearing out..?

Thanks.

It sorted :D:D. Just replaced the sensor, and it runs beautifully! Thanks for the help people.. :)
