Hi guys,
PX'd my Mits Pajero yesterday for a ML55 AMG. I love it!
My missus says the ride is too hard so I need to buy a new cushion... Matalan for the Pajero; M&S for the Merc, new cushion that is.
I had the Paj for over 8 years and it never let me down but compared to the ML, it's a bit like a tortoise--I hope the ML doesn't turn out to be the Hare.
Initially, on the 1st inspection, I asked the trader to make good the mot advisory (rear brake pads). No quibble, done it.
On checking the engine oil, the trader said it was nice and clean. I asked to change it and renew oil and air filters. No quibble, done it.
Passenger side window not working properly. 2 techies stripped the door and discovered the problem is a duff switch in the console rather than the motor so now it requires a new console: Trader is getting one pronto.
Anyway, satisfied with progress I paid the man and happily drove home at a much greater rate of knots than when I started out. Went to bed happy.
Got up this morning to a major embarrassment - a dead battery.
Woke my envious neighbour and made his day by asking for a jump lead start. Called trader and told him '£$%&?', drove up there and had a brand new battery installed. Apart from waiting for the window to be fixed, I think everything is great. When the window is fixed I will sing the trader's praises all over the place.
I hope you don't mind my digression; maybe I should have just said 'Hello, I'm new here.'
Best,
Chris.
