Disclaimer: I am not technical.
Changing the headlights on my R129 to LHD and have managed to almost remove the first unit.......
I have undone all of the connections apart the the 'vacuum' connector, which appears to twist and release, but does not pull out (do I just need to pull harder?)
The original lights were Bosch and the replacements are Magnetti Marelli.
As you can see, the vacuum plug on the new light is much smaller and I assumed that it was just a cover to remove and swap over the original unit from the Bosch unit.
However, when I undo the plug on either light, they do not want to come out!
Obviously, the original light has the purple vacuum pipe attached to it, but the new light does not have a connection for this.
