R129 Pano Roof

Pricey, even if it didn't need paint.

Pricey, Yeah!

... but they are a must have accessory for any SL owner. They really are as much of a wow factor as having the roof off. :thumb:

I agree with Spike, having just the normal hardtop, whilst excellent in every way, I would love the pano roof, and will be keeping my eyes open for one for my R129.

You gunna have a punt the spike?:D

if anyone is thinking of buying this, and yours has an ordinary hard top, then the roof blind will not work, as it gets its electric feed from on the top of the windscreen capping on the car

I actually prefer the look of the car with the standard hard top. IMO the more rounded pano. top doesn't suit the angular shape of the R129 ... but I do appreciate it's nice on the inside.

I seem to remember there is a fitting/adjustment procedure in WIS for fitting one in place of the normal top, possibly requiring replacement of some of the seals.

Having had tin and glass top I think you're right, the look is just a little better in tin mode, but boy is the glass fun :D

It looks like a manual blind to me. The blind on my roof is manual. I didn't know they did an electric version.

Yep, manual on mine too. Last pano roof I saw on ebay went for just over £1100.
