R129 window regulator

hi all,
My 97 320 sl has a problem ( common) with the d/s window not closing fully, thus making life difficult. Missing teeth.
So replacement regulator fitted.
Moment of truth, press button, window goes down...... now won’t come up, nothing...... any thoughts ( as it’s a common fault, hopefully someone knows !)

These cars have a function that lowers the window slightly when you open the door. Try lowering the window all the way and then raising it all the way. Continue to hold the button for about 3 seconds after it's gone to the max position to see if it resets things and solves your problem.

Hi, thanks, but when I connected power, pressed button, it went down an inch, to the bottom, and refuses to come up at all. !

Ahh, in that case it's toast. I have one (passenger side of course because i'm in Texas) but it's in Texas.

Hi all, thanks for comments, all is fine now, works as it should , window drop when opening door is larger than other side...... but closes perfectly so I will leave it alone !

One last question, m
Both windows go down 1 touch, but won’t go up the same.

Am I missing an extra relay somewhere , tried the 3 sec routine etc but no good.
