R230 Suction Restrictor Valve

So my recently acquired 2009 SL500 (cheap but lots of miles and lots of faults) says it's got an ABC malfunction. The Autel fault code reader says it's a fault in the Active Body Control suction restrictor valve. This seems to be attached to the ABC pump and is available for a mere £100 or so. Should I actually just go ahead and change it or does anyone think that the fault code is really hiding another, likely more insidious, problem?
