R231 SL400 - phone and satnav questions....

All,

Seeking some advice here, the telephone volume on my 2014 SL400 is very, very low. I have tried the obvious solution of turning it up using the car volume controls and the phone volume control, but it never seems to get loud enough to hear when driving.

Has anybody seen this before and knows how to fix it. All the other audio functions are just fine and go plenty loud.

Also a question on getting live traffic on the SatNav - it seems to want a subscription, which I presume I need to get from an MB dealer and probably won't be cheap. Is there any workaround for this that anyone knows?

The car has the NTG4.7 setup. I have updated the maps to the latest versions, but the head unit firmware has not been updated as far as I know....

There is a separate phone volume control, I can't remember exactly how to access it but try pressing the phone button, then highlight the phone you're using and use the console rotary controller to move the cursor to the right and another menu should open giving access to phone volume. Sorry the instructions aren't exact but hopefully there's enough there for you to find the right menu

Thanks - I tried that, and managed to set the volume to +2 (max setting), but it's still really quiet...
