A couple of very nice, low mileage and extremely rare AMGs for you guys to enjoy :)

First up, a 560SL from Garage Current: LINKY HERE
It has a SOHC 6.0 AMG conversion with a quoted 320BHP. I have to admit, it looks absolutely stunning!

Next, we have a 300CE 6.0 Widebody! LINK HERE
The blue on blue looks great, IMO, as does the bodywork!
I have to admit, the wheels look like they could do with some spacers.
It's shame that the car doesn't have an original spec M117, but I'm sure the M119 6.0 would prove just a good/powerful, if not moreso!

Price of the 6.0 SL comes in at a whopping £89,000
The C124 Widebody appears to be £POA, but I assume it wouldn't be cheap!

That's easy for them to say !

The japanese have an outstanding collection of these rare AMG cars! The condition they are in is exquisit, like they are fresh out of the factory.

If I was a serious collector and fancied a special rare AMG car, I know for sure my plane ticket would be booked ASAP! Prices can be negotiated to a certain extent, who cares about the shipping, insurance and the rest of the pollava that would involve bringing such a beast here. Once its in your driveway or garage and your standing there looking at it gleaming away, suddenly its all worth it...thats priceless!

Unfortunately, shipping and customs are a major portion of the cost you end up paying...it's a big hit on the purchase price.

Once the car is here, be prepared for tough checks on MOT/documentation/registering the vehicle.

I've just registered both of my imports, the Gemballa and the 500E and it wasn't straightforward - you'd think personnel at DVLA local offices would be consistent but they are far from it ! Dating letters from MBUK (required by DVLA) cost £30 each as well !

Driving to and from MOT stations without number plates is scary too - even when you have informed the police beforehand and are equipped with a CAD ref.

Im saving already!

91 Hammes M119 engines now... Now I'm really confused

Now I'm really confused
I thought Hammers were built from 86 -89 not 91
and all came with M117 engines, as is the blue car in the
first post
anybody care to clarify
please...

the japs will chop and change things a lots so I wouldnt read much into their labelling.. Japanese also had their own divisions of AMG and they had a lot more on the menu than we were offered here in europe..

What look like M119's are not always the case....Many of these cars have M117 blocks with M119 heads....not a straight plug & play by any stretch of the imagination, but do-able.
