Rear wheel arch repair W124

Hi, the whole rear drivers wheel arch on my W124 is in need of cutting out and a new panel welding in. I have been for a quote, which includes cutting out the panel, welding a new one in, filling, priming and blending the pain in. Estimate is £1300. Have other people had a similar repair and if so how much did it cost?

It will be fine had mine done 5 years ago , just 4 inches of mine had gone .Get a good body shop to do it and you wont know its been done

Don’t really know if that’s a good price or not tbh, I’ve always done things like that myself, which is pretty time consuming, when I did the arches on my old 3.0 Capris, XR3i and Escort RS Turbo years ago.
