Hi

I want to fit a new alarm to my 107 SL. The old one is ancient and the fob is knackered previous owner removed the siron anyway!

i only need one that has shock and sensor, but i'd like the sensor to work when the top is down. the car's central locking is not remote and its all vaccum so its not an option to add remote locking to the car (i do know its possible (i've seen Druk's) but doubt i'll do it)

can anyone recommend an alarm that has a convertable sensor thing that doesnt break the bank?

i only really want to fit it to deter people when the car is parked with the top down. Its a ragtop so if they want to be in, its easy so no point in spending too much IMO.

cheers

Derek

You want one with a microwave sensor to work with the top down. Buy one specifically for a softop and it will come with microwave sensors instead of ultrasonic. Personally have had Cobra and Clifford alarms in the past but doesnt really matter what you get a cheap alarm properly installed will work better than an expensive alarm poorly installed.
