Hi

I'm converting my second Sprinter to a bedsit for work, where do you recommend is the best place to drill for the heater exhaust in the rear cab?

I have also got a slightly extended exhaust pipe for it and wish to run that underneath the 40 Litre fresh water.
Will you cringe if I tell you I was thinking of exhausting it through the wheel arch (pointing away from the tyre)? Any tips will be appreciated.]

Many thanks

Kevin

I helped out on a T5 van to 'RV' conversion that many do

How are you planning to power the heater?

PS unless doing it properly with lots of insulation, I really wouldn't recommend this.....

Unless he is using a Eberspacher type (catalytic) heating system, the type fitted to many trucks worldwide. Then the exhaust pipe would be fine in the wheel arch.

The genuine Mercedes heater goes under the passenger seat on a vito & is plumbed in to work in conjunction with the thermatronic system but have seen a few lads who have bought the Chinese heaters & fitted them under the seat base then drilled a hole & dropped the exhaust through the floor.
