Recommended MB specialist in SW Scotland?

Hi, can anyone recommend a good MB specialist in SW Scotland, ideally with STAR? We're moving from London to 6 miles north of Dumfries (DG2) and have a much-loved C280 petrol auto estate we've had from new, 16 years ago, serviced every year.

I see from the forum there's one recommended in Carluke Lanark, but are there any closer to us?

Or do I need to go to Carlisle or Glasgow for example, and make a day of it?

Thanks Druk. Sadly, the excellent Merparts are 2 hours away. And outside Glasgow, so a bit of a hassle to fill the time while the car's being serviced. Hopefully I can find someone closer.

Make the effort!

As one of the Forum's boring old scotch grandmothers, it was a five hour return journey by bus, using my pensioner's free bus pass.

As I said in that thread, I'm doing it all again at the end of the year for my annual service and MOT.

They are the ONLY reputable indies in Scotaland.

Although not in Scotland, I have used Auto-tech in Carlisle several times in the last 6 months for my car. Professional, knowledgeable, got the diagnostics, know how to use them and helpful.

Not a big trip from Dumfries and certainly easier to get to than Port Glasgow for you.

+1 for Autotech @ Carlisle. They look after the family MB fleet - all two of them!!

I'll second what PaulB64 says and add competitive pricing, honest and obliging.
