what does the reg on/off position on the radio display do? i didnt get a radio book with the car and im a bit thick,thanks anybody.

Must be the "regional" RDS setting. Forcing the radio to use one particular FM station even if RDS info shows that other stations broadcast the same program (if I remember correctly).
