i am trying to locate the vin for a car via registration plate and struggling KS15 FZG the car is in the process of being transferred to the new owner a friend of mine but the idiot got pulled over and car has been impounded by the police for having a tyre not suitable for the road but to get it out we need the vin number and he has left the little green slip of the log book in the car which has the information on

If you could get the VIN online, then so could anyone, so simply knowing the VIN wouldn't be sufficient proof of ownership for the police to release the vehicle.

Nah, its just the old repetitive Liverpool smear about car thieving and "littlerobs".
