Remanufactured ABC pumps

Hi all,

Does anyone have any GOOD experience with remanufactured ABC pumps, and can recommend a seller of these ideally in the UK?

There are a few available on eBay at a fairly decent price and with a year's unlimited mileage warranty, but they are often from (e.g.) Poland. Not necessarily a problem, but obviously increases the risk as I'm sure it would be difficult to act on the warranty across borders and with different governing law!

It's for a W220 S600.

My remaned abc pump on my mercedes sl55 r230, only lasted a couple of years and have started leaking.
Apparantly i have been told that Mercedes in UK are not selling these anymore.

Has anyone bought a remaned unit, that they can recommend and is of proven quality ?
Also is anywhere in the UK that can remove the abc system and replace with shocks ?

Give MSL a ring they are an MB specialist just outside B’ham, they may give you some pointers or offer a service

MSL were very unhelpful.
Ordered one from Germany from abcteiler, who claim to be experts, but the pump leaked and now in process of returning.

Anyone else know of a good uk company ?

You don't seem to be having much luck with ABC pump suppliers , have you thought about rebuilding it yourself ? kits are available and lot's of tutorials on line.

Lets face it half the people who are refurbishing them and charging for it probably had to google it the first time.

it's not a madly complicated piece of kit . OK , that's me talking and I will have a go at anything ...especially if I have been let down by suppliers.

Hey Pete - do you have a link to a rebuild kit?

Also, specifically for the biturbo - I know the pump design changed a little for the 216, by putting a damper directly on the body - will these pumps happily fit a 215 biturbo? I don’t see why not but worth asking.
