Hello everyone
On my OM642 I’ll delete EGR from ECU, but i want to put plates (red circle on the picture) because EGR of will still let exhaust gases pass through but do you know if the sensor (Green circle) Will make me a DTC ? If yes its possible to remove it too from the ECU ?
Thank youDoesn't an egr delete from the ECU do just that , delete it. ??
Try the delete first , then put in the plates , if needed. But I'd assume when it's deleted the egr will be closed anyways ...Thank you
When EGR is delete from ECU It still lets exhaust gases through, that's why I wanted to plug the EGR exhaust pipe with plates
Yes of course it will be closed but a little bit of exhaust gas can still pass through… I rebuilding completly my OM642 all is cleaned and i Really want to delete the EGR, ok i’ll try before put the platesTry the delete first , then put in the plates , if needed. Yes its a good idee ! it can depressurize the exhaust gases and fool the sensorCars I've had in the past ,some egr plates needed a tiny hole just to trick the sensor.
Hello Vivienne, you can buy an emulator to give an offset valueYes its a good idee ! it can depressurize the exhaust gases and fool the sensor
Hello Phil this an emulator stay plug on OBD ?Hello Vivienne, you can buy an emulator to give an offset value
How about keeping the proper emissions gear in place and not polluting the air for everyone else? There's a reason diesels have to have all that kit. Just a thought.And…. ? What is the problem ? You prefer I make a new one post to pollute the forum ?

Why are you winking at me? This isn't GrindrHello Phil this an emulator stay plug on OBD ?
Mine doesn't. So nah nah nee nah nah . . . . . That's why I bought it. LEZ exempt - which isn't the same as 'compliant', but I don't care. And because it doesn't have all that kit, it also doesn't have all those (phenomenally expensive) faults. Which is why I bought it in the first place..........
(Ps petrols have "all that kit" to)

Yes, the EU was the reason, another half baked idea that was forced on manufacturers by politicians who understand very little, it doesn't work very well and owners have to pay through the nose for any repairs down the line. There's a reason diesels have to have all that kit. Just a thought.
Love it! Or, at least Emma Peel. She's delicious. Or she was, in about 1960something, I don't know about now.Blyme, how old is the car? Are we talking about the Avengers' Bentley?
