And…. ? What is the problem ? You prefer I make a new one post to pollute the forum ?

Park your arrogance, you are new here and that isn't the way to get help. Members post in their own time to try to help others, remember that.

A new thread doesn't pollute the forum, how would it?

It might have made your post visible to more members who may have helped you. Like many you are good at passive aggressive posturing behind the safety of a keyboard.

The ignore button for you so I won't be "polluted" by any more of your posts. 😬

you can say what you want it's you who was arrogant with your message.
« the safety of a keyboard » you talk like a kid lol
it's not a problem I will find help elsewhere

Pathetic and juvenile! Try understanding before typing!

Bye bye!

Hello everyone ;)

On my OM642 I’ll delete EGR from ECU, but i want to put plates (red circle on the picture) because EGR of will still let exhaust gases pass through but do you know if the sensor (Green circle) Will make me a DTC ? If yes its possible to remove it too from the ECU ?

Doesn't an egr delete from the ECU do just that , delete it. ??

Thank you ;)
When EGR is delete from ECU It still lets exhaust gases through, that's why I wanted to plug the EGR exhaust pipe with plates

Try the delete first , then put in the plates , if needed. But I'd assume when it's deleted the egr will be closed anyways ...

Yes of course it will be closed but a little bit of exhaust gas can still pass through… I rebuilding completly my OM642 all is cleaned and i Really want to delete the EGR, ok i’ll try before put the plates 👍

Cars I've had in the past ,some egr plates needed a tiny hole just to trick the sensor. 👍

Yes its a good idee ! it can depressurize the exhaust gases and fool the sensor

How about keeping the proper emissions gear in place and not polluting the air for everyone else? There's a reason diesels have to have all that kit. Just a thought.

Since when has anybody cared about anybody else in todays society... On the surface or in the media they drive this message.. but reality.. people are so tied up in their own world and do their own thing.

If you cant beat them.... join them as they say..

(Ps petrols have "all that kit" to)

I had a Volvo diesel. I changed the flappy valves letting the exhaust gases into the manifold as well as the EGR valve which I thought were two stupid ideas . Later the engine coughed and spluttered and not knowing what else to do I took it to a garage I had been to before. EGR valve faulty, The Computer That Is Always Right And Always To Be Obeyed said so they changed the EGR valve. £450. The engine coughed and spluttered the same as before. Computer said EGR valve faulty. It wasn't, it was the Computer That Controls The EGR Valve And Is Aways Correct Including When It Is Wrong. So they changed the Computer That Controls The EGR Valve . . . . . . another £500.
I got the supposedly faulty EGR valve from them, it was clean, nothing wrong with it. Naturally they woudn't refund the £450 because they had fitted the new valve. Following an MOT failure because of a stupid message on the dash, with no warning lights so it should have passed, I got rid of the car and bought myself a 1983 Mercedes W123 petrol with no computers, and no electonics that Charles Faraday wouldn't understand. And no tax and not necessarily an MOT, though I do get that done. And I don't go to that garage any more, surprise surprise.

Mine doesn't. So nah nah nee nah nah . . . . . That's why I bought it. LEZ exempt - which isn't the same as 'compliant', but I don't care. And because it doesn't have all that kit, it also doesn't have all those (phenomenally expensive) faults. Which is why I bought it in the first place.

Blyme, how old is the car? Are we talking about the Avengers' Bentley?

Yes, the EU was the reason, another half baked idea that was forced on manufacturers by politicians who understand very little, it doesn't work very well and owners have to pay through the nose for any repairs down the line.
Delete adblue and EGR and guess what, the car will sail through the MOT with minimal emissions anyway.

Love it! Or, at least Emma Peel. She's delicious. Or she was, in about 1960something, I don't know about now.
My W123 is 1983 so it's 41. No electrics that Charles Faraday wouldn't understand. Electric starter motor, alternator, electric windscreen wipers, heater blower, lights . . . . err . . . . .err let me think. Fuses. Errrr ... . . .No. That's the lot. No Computers-That-are-always-right-and-are-to-be-obeyed-at-all-times-and-in-all-places. Unless they are wrong , and surely that would never be the case. Would it? Faulty fault reports on my last car cost me about £2000 in a few months which is why I got rid of it and got this W123. £4,000 it cost and it's a beauty. I went to a Bangers and Cash auction and saw one the same year and condition go for £8,000.
