Removing W123 Door Card

I need to remove the door card on my 1985 W123.

The only thing I cannot seem to remove is the chrome surround to the inner door handle. Does it just pull out or does it slide? If so which way?

Help greatly appreciated.

this is a good one!

get a very thin screwdriver and price out the inner black plastic that lines inside the chrome surround then all will be revealed.
by the way, you need to prise from the left side if drivers door.

Remember also that the door pocket hooks through the door card and into the metalwork of the door itself - you have to lift and pull forwards if i remember correctly.
