Replacing Command system

Own a Mercedes 2015 W205. As you know the Command system is limited with no Apple car play etc

I found the below on eBay an aftermarket android replacement.

Do you think replacing this in my car is going to cause any issues overall? Or should I stick with my manufacturer Command screen

If your only issue is the lack of native support for Apple CarPlay, then talk to www.comandonline.co.uk, they can fit an aftermarket kit that will add Apple CarPlay to the COMAND system (model dependent - call them with your VIN).

If you want an Android based system anyway, then check this forum for brand recommendations, because the build quality of these Chinese Android system can vary greatly.

BTW the system in the link you provided is a complete screen with built-in Android OS, it replaces the original screen, but not the CONAND system - you can still switch to the original COMAND when you don't want to use the Android device.

Yes correct it replaces the screen and add features like video. You tube. Movies. Apple car play. And also has the option to go to the original Mercedes command.

Do you think it’s ok or can lead to unnecessary issues?
