Hello.
I'd be most greatful for any advice/guidence in how I can have AUX enabled within my NTG3 system.
I have a UK-Spec 2007 W221 S-Class (S500) with an NTG3 head unit. It also has the Digital TV unit with it. It does have bluetooth but only for the telephony integration.
I'm looking to implement a Carplay/Android Auto unit by Integrated Automotive Mercedes Benz NTG3.0/NTG3.5 (2007-2012) CarPlay and Android Auto Upgrade Kit - Integrated automotive UK (I Had one in my last car - a Merc E300 estate with NTG4.5 and it worked a treat!). The supplied wiring loom will connect to some pins (AUX) in the back of the DVD unit through which the audio will run.
I need your help in understanding how to enable AUX within the COMAND NTG3, please.
I’m about to have some work done by an independent MB specialist, and they have STAR/Xentry. He’s sent me this message just now:
"I currently can’t find a way of enabling aux. The videos I have watched have people commenting on them that it didn’t work or caused other issues with the Comand unit. The Mercedes workshop manuals do not list a way of doing it either. “
Might you have some tips/suggestion please that I can relay on to him? Any pre-requisites? Does the unit need to be at a certain firmware level? Or is it enabled via the Engineering Menu? If so, how?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
