I have a 2000 CLK 320 cabriolet, a few things slipped down the side of the battery so I removed it. After replacing, the windows, mirror adjust, remote boot release and the soft top wouldn't work.
I removed the neutral battery lead for half a minute or so reconnected reset windows etc all working as it should.
Next morning turn on ignition and all stopped working again so go through as above, next day the same or sometimes later the same day.

Does anyone have an answer to what is going on before I wear out the battery terminal:wallbash:

Possabilities are: bad battery connection, bad battery, or you have damaged one of the ECU's when you reconnected the battery. So if its not the first 2 items you need someone with a Star machine to read the codes and see if anything is damaged, and clear the codes

You may need to reset windows etc, follow the post that was posted on here recently about window reset and synchronize that might help

Electric fault again

Changed front SAM unit all fine for 2 days then fault returned, would not having the codes cleared cause the problem to return or could it be something else, roof control module possibly, if I get codes read would they be able to say what the problem is, thanks for any help
