reverse lights and door switch not working, please help

Hi all.

Posted this in the electronics section, but no joy, so trying here as this one proved fruitful in the past.

I'm looking for ideas and or wiring routes and diagrams for an r170 slk right hand drive, for the reversing lights and the gear selector switch so I can try and trouble shoot the issues.

Also, after ideas on the door switch, as that's not working to and is risky as can lock the keys in the car.

Any ideas would be really good, as I'm clueless as to where to start.

Reverse lights fixed now, was pitted / corroded contacts on the metal work of rear light clusters. A dremel and some solder resolved and corrected bulb out warning.

Now for the door switch!

Upex, if it's taken you 6 months to sort out the reversing lights, how long do you reckon it's gonna take you to fix the door switch ?
