Run Flat yes or no?

Part of the question could be decided on profile. I had 30/35s on one E class and it went through 7 tyres in the year due to punctures at roadworks mainly on the m1. Latest E class has 17s, old man tyres and a proper spare in the boot. I ride in comfort.

I have 245/40/19 F and 275/35/19 R and they had done 29,000 and been on the car since new. so not too shabby.

Normal tyres for me over run flats, my current car is a GLC that has Michelin SUV tyres and I cannot remember the last time I had a puncture it’s certainly many years.

I suppose to compare though you would need to try both variations on the same car but where to do that?
