S124 3.6 - what's needed from donor c36?

Hi all,

I'm in the process of acquiring the engine from a 1995 C36 AMG to fit into my 1993 280te (fitted with factory M104).

My understanding is it's a drop in conversion and I can use my existing wiring and ECU which will need to be remapped.

What about things like the exhaust/intake manifolds and the fuel system? Sadly the engine I'm buying is missing the 3.6 crossover pipe so I'll need to find one separately.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Well, I've bitten the bullet and bought the engine, manifolds, fuel rail etc. Hopefully arriving on a pallet sometime this week.

Should be a nice step-up from the 2.8
