S124 E300D Estate

When people advertise a vehicle with a "full" MB history and fail to at least explain why the last service was 9 years and 12,000 miles ago, there has to be something missing. Has it been left for 9 years? or who has been doing the servicing?

looks good. Especially if the bid amount stays low. Get it, give it a good service and it will be good for a long time yet.

Seems a bit dodgy to me, 12000m in 9 years, possibly had a bit of a haircut IMHO.

i have one similar which only done 114k miles no air con, and is very good condition, but at 240k miles with 24v version has known gearbox problems

at that price, who cares if its been clocked, aslong as its running ok. give it a good service and use the car. good multivalve diesel 124 estates are quite hard to find.

mines at 227k - no gearbox problems for me

These are easily capable of mega miles - thats why i wouldnt care if it had been clocked, aslong as the price was cheap, it ran ok (or i was aware of the faults).

the 24v still has the 4 speed auto that is as tough as old boots if the fluid and filter are changed - mine has done a similar mileage and the box shifts like it was new.

Agreed 90%. 10% says you don't want a clocked car!

Buy it on merit, and with your eyes open, and the mileage is pretty irrelevant
