Need some advice please.
Went to to the garage and on the way in going over the speed bump heard the scratching noise coming from the rear, I obviously have scratched the floor which was very unusual. When I came out of the car the rear of the car is down completely. When restarted it didn't rise so slowly drove her home. No messages on dashboard, not a single one. It used to happen that it will drop a bit after sitting for a while on a driveway but always was coming back to full height. Maybe only twice during my ownership it showed me the message "Vehicle Rising please wait" in the morning but now nothing, not even "Car too low".
What to look for?

Broken (mechanical) link to the level sensor?

With an S212 estate you will have conventional springs/struts at the front and air suspension units+ shocks at the rear. Sounds as if one or both rears have given up the ghost. The other possibility is the compressor or air lines have failed / sprung a leak ?

But shouldn't be there some message if sensor, compressor or air lines have failed? I have no messages at all. Nothing, like everything is normal when obviously not. Checked the fuses 12 and 68 and both are fine. Earlier today I had changed wheels to a winter set so don't know if this could be related somehow.

That's why I suggested that perhaps the mechanical link to the sensor has failed - the sensor would report that the level was ok, so no messages, even though the car was dragging its ar*e on the road.

This happened to mine (and loads of others on here) dealer had it on diagnostics but nothing. They kept it in overnight to confirm it sagged and then found a split pipe. It’s been ok since.

Makes sense if the sensor has failed.

I doubt this is the case with mine, not saying that the lines shouldn't be checked, but here both sides are equally low.

+1 for the sensor link. It may be visible if you look underneath from the rear bumper, it may just be visible hanging down.

Is it possible to test air suspension components with icarsoft (full up/down) or it’s just for reading codes?

So you think it could be just the link? Will look tomorrow on a daylight.

Plugged elm obd scanner today and again no errors.
This is what I have managed to record from behind the left rear wheel. At some point I think I can see what should be the sensor linkage but have no idea if it’s supposed to hang like this or some other way

Its apparently the arm on the sensor itself that breaks--its plastic after all. Final position of the suspension may depend on the final position of that sensor arm when failure occured - fully up or fully down i.e. at the limit of permitted travel in either direction--- an event that might occur in equal measure when traversing a speed bump- in bump/rebound

I was changing wheels earlier that day so might be that something had happened at that time that I was not aware of, so might be that the breakage happened while the wheels were hanging and the sensor is stuck in fully inflated position of airbags. BTW are there two sensors, one for each side or just one for both? The diagram shows only one but lists two.
