S212 E250Cdi buying advice.

The car I am looking at is a 30,000mile 61 reg Calcite White S212 E250CDi Estate Sport Edition 125 with a panoramic roof fitted. I felt fine until I read todays daily mail about problems on Kias. Is there any history of this roof being a bad thing on a 2012 model E-series estate? I can figure out if there are problems with light and headroom in a test drive but not whether they have a history of shattering due to body torsion? The car is 3 years old and is from M-B dealer as a Mercedes approved used car so unlikely to have a manufacturing defect, but is there anything I should specifically look out for?

No... they are fine on this model.

^ But do give it a good look over for stone chip damage, especially on the leading edge.

Mines a late 62 plate and I've not had any issues with the Pan roof, or notice extra noise from it when on the motorway

Check your insurance. Some don't include pano roof as glass, so if it gets bust it's classed as a body repair - full excess and impact on NCD.

Is there anything to beware of on this model? I can't find anything of note; the air suspension at the read seems expensive if it goes wrong, but doen't seem to. The engine / gearbox seem sound even with the twin turbos. I hear rumours of trim tearing but cannot find out any consistent issue. Sounds like a solid car that would make a good buy.
