The 350z and R34

http://www.geocities.com/mrjumjum/s55amg350zR34.wmv

R34 Skyline was unrestricted and on the day one driver got an indicated 195 mph , I got an indicated 185mph out of it, probably 10 mph or so fast given comparison with the S55 which is limited to 155.5 mph and has an amazingly accurate speedo.

The S55 was quicker than everything up to 110-120mph, after then only the Skyline could catch it (if the driver could get the power down), to give a comparison of how quick these cars are the Saab used as camera car is no slouch capable of 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds.

The R34 I had driven a couple of years ago and it had been modified again since, still turned in fairly well and although still had a little understeer was more neutral now , it was faily fast to 5000rpm then above then a huge warp factor turbo surge of power giving traction issues , loads of waste gate noise and roar, still tramlined a bit. Very impressed by this modified 350z it had the best steering, good feel, turned in well, excellent torque and flexibility, nice supercharger noise and exhaust note, quite rear biased handling and could be steered on the throttle, great drivers car, very quick. Saab was quick when on the move mid range and suspension good, but a bit of body flex compared to the others, difference in pace between this good performance car and these monsters was striking.

The as a standard car the S55 was extremely impressive, best all round day to day package, consistently the quickest accelerating and pretty much on the pace round the corners.

couple of the links don't work - but looks like a great time was had. Thanks for the report and for sharing the film  :bannana: Awesome performance from your S55 - soooooooooooooooo jealous :D

S55's are nice cars and all, but what the hell is wrong with the GTR if it cannot catch the big MB. The R34 should be doing 3.5-4.5 seconds to 60mph!!!

That's absolutely amazing Jum. The fun you people have. You have lives. I'm just stuck in a helpdesk office every day creating macros that enter details on an inventory database (fun to watch in themselves though ;)).

Very very good. And very refined.

I see it's Grimsby-registered as well yes???!!!

Can't see any of the files.

Those who are having trouble, click the mirror-urls, scroll down to the "Free" button at the bottom of the feature-table, then wait for the link to change/appear at the bottom of the next screen (around 5 secs).

no - what you actually want is proof in the flesh with you sitting in the passenger seat to see for real that it was the S55 and that it was going that quick :D :bannana: :D
