S600 - Zoiks!

Note 100% feed back for past 12 months but check out feedback on the ebay account.
Always worth arranging a visit on something like this, probably a good deal but get the confidence from having a look first.

You really don't want to say that.....you would have been shocked and amazed how utterly bad they are.

I only bought mine because of the simply ridiculous amount of work that had been done by the previous owner - Olly saw the folders of receipts.

Brilliant cars if they have a wad of receipts for servicing.

That car in the ad is realistically about 4200.

I recall the car from somewhere else.
I can't say I'm a fan of that engine, it doesn't make an awful lot of sense when the 5.0 isn't too far behind on power.

The facelift W220 V12 with a very different kettle of fish....

The N/A V12 is a very different engine to the V8 in the S500 and midrange is hilarious cf the S500 and quite different driving dynamics

The TT V12 is just nuts, hence I am looking for one.

I'd love a V12 BiTurbo but I'd only want a low mileage one and I can't afford to buy one so it shall remain a dream for a bit yet!

I think they are awesome though.

You have to worry when these cars are being described by the seller as being able to beat boy racers away from the lights...it just shouts AVOID!

Yes but you must admit that this sort of chat in the ad is not needed and does not reflect the nature of the car being sold - do you see where I am coming from?

If I was selling a modded Golf Gti in Max Power (shortly RIP) then it might be appopriate.

I drove both a S600 pre facelift 390 bhp and the s600 TT 500 Bhp.
The difference is massive. Also the interior is so much better in the s600 TT, but maybe its because the one i drove and now own is exclusive leather.
Thing is with these motors when things go wrong its not always it costs alot, but finding people who can work on it and not create more problems.

I have spent close to 5k on mine in last 6 months. I spoke to a guy who deals alot with s600 and he said 2 types of mileage areas to watch for big bills on a s600 is
60k to 80k and then again 130k to 150k.

apparently that is when most of the things like coil packs, suspension, cats, etc start need replacing. I think what you get is 2nd owner gets 20k miles for 4k repair bills and passes on.

If you look around then you can get good deals on fixes.]
Mine had new turbo for £500 quid instead of 2.2k and also 4 new sport cats for 900 instead of one bank for 1.2k

I drove a new s600 08 plate and its same performance as mine 03 plate.
Interior is nicer in newer one, but the actually drive is about the same.
The difference with a TT S600 and a normal S600 pre facelift is massive.

The difference in the prices is massive too!

An excellent S600 N/A should be around the £5500/6000 mark.

I have to have a bit of a chuckle at the ones advertised for £10,000.....not a hope.
