SBC Hold works fine on my car but i cannot get SBC Stop to work,
according to the handbook you just use the cruise lever to activate but all i get is the cruise activating. where am i going wrong or is there a fault.

There is no SBC on a W203 ! (or is your sig. wrong)

On cars with SBC (SL, W211 E, W219 CLS I think) the early ones came with Stop and Hold, but then they discontinued Stop for some reason. My 02 SL had it Stop, my 04 does not have Stop. The Stop was rather disconcerting and awkward to use, but the Hold is very useful

Hello

Do you mean when you stop at the lights brakes on you can flick the cruise stalk up (on) and then it holds the car with you feet off the brake?

Or you double press the brake at the lights to activate?

Not even sure what 'Stop' is

You double press the pedal for SBC hold.
SBC stop is supposed to be activated by cruise stalk but it seem that does not work on my car.

What does it do?

I can activate the hold on the cruise stalk. Stop the car normally and just flick the stalk up and the 'hold' is active.

I think I may have the stop feature as I may have activated that before now somehow...the SBC display stays on and the car feels like its trying to brake for you.....Odd.

the hold is Ace...

The big bus with its Brabus Box and foot resting over go pedal is pretty handy when it wants to be :)

Hhold is operated with a double press on my car.
Looks like you have stop and the automatic braking is what it does, it operates up to 40mph when you lift off the throttle it will brake to a gradual stop, press the throttle and the brakes come off and the car accelerates.
As you say SBC Hold is a very handy feature.

I think on the facelifted W211 you only have the Hold, as the facelifted model moved to a conventional brake set up. Assuming you have a facelift model?

On the Pre Facelift W211 (my previous car) with SBC, the display shows 'SBC HOLD', on my W219 CLS, it shows 'HOLD'.

A really useful feature although I would prefer the brake lights to be off when in use.
