A friend of mine has just bought a BMW 3 series coupe. It's about 6 years old and the previous owner bought it new paying extra for an M Sport interior.

He put these awful sheepskin covers on the front seats the day he got it and has driven it like that ever since. My friend now has a set of leather seats that have never been sat in which is great, but what was the point of specifying the better interior and then covering it for 6 years :dk:

The worst thing is my friend has so far left them on....:wallbash:

Maybe he didn't buy them to save his leather. Maybe he just liked the feel on sheep on his buttocks.:ban:

I bought a set of cheap seat covers and head rest covers with 2 purposes in mind:

The seat covers were the kind that wrap over the whole seat.
The head rest covers are separate covers.

First, I cut one seat cover in half so I just had the base of the seat cover.
I threw the rest away.
I use this to put over the base of a front seat if ever I have a pair of shorts or trousers on that are not as clean as I'd like - for example, if I'm detailing the cockpit.

I also use this cover if ever a techie is going to be in the car, for example when having the car serviced.

The head rest covers serve a different purpose entirely..

I keep these in the car for the purpose of placing over the shoes of a passenger should they have dirty or wet footwear.
They are elasticated so they wrap nicely round their ankes, enveloping the undesirable footwear.

And so was born.... the "floor mat protection system"

Rashman.... what can I say..... legend!! :D

That's what the headrest covers are for, leg ends!!

Why don't you just be done with it and wrap any passengers head to toe in industrial cling film. :D

I am thinking that scene from Fight Club where Bradd Pitt is wearing rubber gloves.

There ya go :thumb:

Believe me, I have considered the various options.. even "Spittle & Germ Protection Systems".
But far too much apparatus is needed
I now find a "no passenger" policy works well. :D

Hmm... yes, like your style.
I fear the plastic would make too much noise and become and irritation...

In my boot i keep a waterproof seat cover that i use whenever the car is in for service, There is also a cheap pair of rubber mats that i use if the weather turns foul.

Have i got a mild version of 'Rashman's Syndrome' ?
