Firstly, welcome to the forum............there is more knowledge on here than the combined efforts of the worldwide MB dealer network (except maybe late on a Saturday night :D).

There are specially designed tools for filter canister removal that are relatively unobtrusive. They are like a large flat ring spanner that fits into the contours of the canister. Did you not use one of these, and if not, is there sufficient canister 'body' sticking out to get something around it now? If I remember correctly, these types of filter should only be done up (very) hand-tight. It is the 'O' ring in the receptor that creates the seal.

Let's know how you get on anyway.

Good luck ;) .

Remme,

Do you mean the oil filter cartridge or the oil sump at the bottom of the engine?

Oh, too late. You beat me to it.

Yes is the sump

If you mean the SUMP?? you will have to remove the engine from the car.
I removed a sump from a another car(same model) then it was no problem to lift it 10 cm.

My engine refused to move... I can't understand why...

Have you bent the mountings/ mounting bolts when you damaged the sump?? QUITE LIKELY if you cracked the sump. OR maybe a different clearance to gearbox BETWEEN auto /manual?? OR what about exhaust pipe / mounting holding it from moving? engine earth strap? just a few suggestions.

The sump is off, i made the famous 10cm lift. Yes is some damage to around there, but nothing serious I hope.
manual gearbox.

I do not do more today, but i tell you what happens in the morning

Not true my friend.

Procedure.

Put car on axle stands
Undo engine mounts
Remove torsion bar
Lift engine
Undo sump bolts
Pull sump forward and down

Sump off.

Get it TIG welded in situ?
