service plus - any planned replacement ??

want and bought privately with a view to using this facility as car has FMBSH - only to be told no longer available
Has anyone heard the latest on any replacement of sorts ??

My personal opinion is to forget Service plus and find a good independent mechanic who will sevice your car. Others may disagree.
