Did a quick search for my written off CL203 …. And came across the remnants of a Gumtree advert showing it’s been repaired and sold on!
It was a very well maintained example! Here’s a few photos from that advert..

What was the damage that wrote it off?
Front passenger side quarter took impact from a minibus, so panels crumpled when damaged and steering was broken. Damage to bumper. Possibly other stuff, but that’s what was visible. No airbag deployment though. You wouldn’t know looking at it in those photos.

At that price point the car being on the register isn't a Biggie, as long as the seller advises .
One for Car Vertical.....

Nice car though. I do have good memories of mine

Would you rather have bought it back or keep the E-class? You were very fond of it.

I was fond of it, because it was such a good example - before the crash. There’s no comparison to the E though. It’s superior in almost every way. I say almost as the CL203 was much more nimble, but that aside the E is a joy and still has real presence for an older car. The practicality is so superior AND the engine is leagues ahead!
