I've just put in a second hand Blaupunkt tape deck in my tractor. Here is my problem it keeps switching channels on the radio and also turns the tape deck off. I know his is for traffic announcements but it seems to happen about every 10 min and is getting truly annoying. What do I do to stop this happening I pressed every button and still I get the reports.

Try and find an instruction manual on the net and download it, sometimes it takes a combination of buttons to perform different functions if it is a particularly well specced one.....

you will need the model name (bremen, munchen etc) , what it is doing is searching for TI on different stations until it finds one.

you are probably looking for a function called "RDS" - something must disable it

On a previous Blaupunkt radio you could toggle TA (Traffic Announcements) by holding down the Mute button for a few seconds.

Also, if my normal listening was interupted by a traffic report one quick press of the Mute button and the report was cancelled and the original music returned.

This same key sequence works on my Mercedes Audio10 unit, hope it helps...

Thanks guys. That sorted two birds one stone. I intend to put a cd stacker on it and now know where to get the manual. And i pressed all the buttons for a few seconds each and its stopped although I’m not quite sure which button did it.
