Sky + Problems

If it happens again and is out of warranty call sky with your prob and they will fob you off by trying to get you to pay for an engineer to come out, at that stage tell them you want to cancel sky, they soon change attitude and send a bloke out free of charge...trust me Ive done it 3 times,

so has andy_cyp:rock:

This is my 3rd box...last one was 6 months after the one before so was out of warranty....I used your approach and they replaced it. If eventually this one does go (it is 15 months old) there is no way I will pay for a new one on top of my £40+ a month....so it will bye bye sky

If it was the auto standby, I believe you get an on screen warning before it going into standby.

Have you got any failed recordings when you go to: TV Guide>Green>Right Arrow> Yellow?

Is that a 'hidden' function or the standard planner?

[sorry not near Sky+ - just curious]

Standard planner feature, that is a little out of the way is how I would describe it.

A lot of funny Sky+ behaviour relates to these failed recording that don't show up in the normal view.

When my box did this if ended dying a death, could watch Sky etc but could not record. Lost all the stuff herself had recorded and ended up with a replacement box for about £60 from Mr Mudoch.

He soon will be, I know I was in the business, Helicopters skin you whether they move or don't move. Only way to have a machine is to have somebody else pay for it IE lease it back to a helicopter co. it'll still cost. without name dropping I have used many a famous persons heli with and without them being on board and they don't keep em long when they find out the true cost.

Thanks Malcolm I wasn't being funny, Just trying to give you an insight as to real costs. Your friend obviously knows the score. I finished flying 10years ago. I used to go in and out of Denham alot.
Best wishes
