Well problem with the SL.
Won't hot start, starts occasionally when cold. Can raise revs but when I blip the throttle it dies.
Already changed plugs, HT leads and distributor and rotor. (Admittedly these parts were shot and needed replacing in any case...)
I give up. Rang Ian and he was as helpful as ever. Even though he could have talked himself out of work by explaining what he thought was wrong and what to change I'm going to have the car towed in to him and let the good Doctor do his work. Luckily he's relatively nearby.
We're thinking it's either the ignition coil but more likely the OVP relay.
I'm sure Ian will sort it come Monday.
Love this car, had many miles of trouble free motoring so I can forgive it this time...
