SL Panoramic roof

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the SL (R129) panoramic roof will fit on a SL600 1996 (standard hardtop) and an approx. cost for such a roof in good condition. My SL is in silver.

Yes its the same fitment as far as i know...
Cost - not sure! im sure someone else can help though..

I'm pretty sure it will fit. Got a quote from Dronsfields for around £1880 a little whila ago, and have seen on here that they add up to £1000 on the resale value, but likely to have to have the top repainted unless very lucky!

The later SL600s had the Panoramic Roof as standard (end of 96 onwards?).

Hi I am not 100% sure but i think that you may have to get the weight difference reprogrammed in, i recall seeing that as the glass roof is heavier it can cause some problems, you can pick up a glass roof on ebay and funily enough the majority that i have seen are in silver!!!!
I would double check with a dealer or specialst about the weight difference of the roofs
