Hi all,
Thought I would say hello.
After years of company cars and motorbikes I thought It was time to treat myself to something proper now the bike has gone. So 9th Dec welcome SL320. Ten years old, 62k miles, built like a tank. Sports car ? More a long distance cruiser methinks. Love it - should have done it years ago. Still have the Insignia for work but we all have our cross to bear !

Took the hard roof off but negelcted to remover the plastic heated rear window connector and it broke. Anybody know where I can get a new one from.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Hi & welcome.

Re. the electrical connector for the hardtop - is it the plug (on the end of the flylead) or the socket (on the car) that's damaged?

One thing I would say - the heated rear window is pretty ineffective anyway! It's quite common for people to think it is broken.

Hello
Welcome to the Forum :thumb:

Hi, sorry for late reply - work, work work ! Its the little plug on the end of the lead. Just got one from Merc in Blackburn - £1.17 +VAT. Ineffective is about the nicest thing I can say about the performance of the heated rear window. Nice SL500 by the way, looks just like my 320. Just a quick question have you ever re-proofed the soft top ? Thanks

Nice to hear they didn't try to sell you a new hard top (IIRC about £6k) :D

Never done anything to the hood on mine other than wash it. I do keep the car garaged though.
