Have a '97 SL500 that has developed a sporadic misfire (throughout the whole rev range). I have checked all the plugs and all look good with the same uniform light brown colouring. All coil packs look good and leads look fine with no obvious degradation. Any one know of other easy checks before I succumb and take it to my local indie?
