For 65 large id I'd want a working roof !!!!!! (and the turbines !!!!)
For £60k, I'd be happy with three

A blue one for the weekday,
a silver facelift for the weekend,
and a black one for spare.

The blue one is a wrap. I half looked as it's quite close to me. Doesn't make it a bad car but it's not really "blue".

These cars benefit from being used.. this one has no doubt been stored for long periods.. possibly without a battery trickle charger. Flat batteries, do the systems no good.

I very much doubt that it is on the original battery and the advert states that the car has been recommissioned by Mercedes 👍

Recommissioned..and they left a few major faults!
And quite a few minor...
Not quite as bad as this. There I was, drooling over this v. tasty Evo II for sale on line

And then I thought; if I were about to hand over the best part of £115K, I'd want a car that didn't have half its aircon components missing.

Not the first time I've seen that from them. I looked at a CL600 there last year (pre Superb), priced towards the top end but the pictures and write up seemed to support that.

Arrived to find the bonnet paint was cracked and blistered, missing trim pieces, incomplete history etc etc. Didn't see any point in going further and politely declined. They asked why and when I explained, they offered to knock £4k off it there and then if that would make me interested... That put me off them for good.

Usual story of what a buyer will do with it. Stuff it into a collection or put it on the road and run up the mileage and perhaps lose £30k minimum when it's time to sell? Or buy a nice example like as per Mike's post above , use it for a couple of years and probably only lose a bit if anything when you decide to sell. Buyers premium on this one will make the final cost eye wateringly stupid if the owner sticks to his valuation.

I had one of those....in that colour....a 92 Evo 1 model. Mine didn't have AC from new.......When I sold mine I got ten grand for it and I did pretty well at that as I made a small profit after about 8 months of use!! How times have changed.

Giallo Ginestra was a rare colour apparently, but that car definitely should have aircon. Half the pipework is still in place
