SL63 R231 2017
Hi All

Owned since new 2017 SL63 R231 and ownership has been painless until now. A problem has came up with the ventilation blowing warm all the time even with aircon bottom on. Got re gassed. No Change. Plugged in fault reader and it says internal temp sensor faulty. To date we have changed all sensors and still no change. Also the aircon pump never engages either. Could this be a fuse blown somewhere, heater control valve or heater matrix issue? May be forced to head to main dealer.

Lack of gas is the usual suspect, probably a leaky pipe or a leaky condenser on a 231. The sensors temp are usually very very reliable. It needs plugging in to a proper Xentry machine for accurate diag. Generic code readers wont help you in this situation. Its often much better value and easier to pay for a proper diag with the correct equipment before you do ANYTHING. The AC gas needs to be removed if there is any left and weighed to see if there is any loss.

No need for a main dealer. Find a specialist near you. The condensers are fairly expensive btw....

The car had sat dormant for about 12 months with little to no use, does the compressor lock its self out to protect when low on gas? If it was regassed should the compressor res et itself or does it take Xentry. thanks for your reply and help.
