Just a quick queston to anyone who knows.
I have an SRS light in red on dash. Have taken car to mercedes specialists who have put it in diagnostics but say they can't gat a reading as there is no conection to srs module (i think thats what they said). Anyway mot due next week so need to put light out.
Have looked at book and SRS system seems to have 2 fuses ( Numbers 45 and 49 in engine compartment fuses)
If i remove these fuses will light go out or could i do more damage.
HELP PLEASE !!

HELP PLEASE !!
Fwiw I had the large red SRS light, on my Vito dash a while ago.
I had removed my double front passenger seat unit, when giving my van a deep clean. I unplugged the seat sensor cable to do so.
That would have been fine, however I switched the ignition on with the seat unplugged. The SRS light lit, and would not go out.
Eventually I took my van to a Mercedes Indy', who plugged it into their computer & switched the circuit off.
I had fairly extensively researched, (as I like to be able to do all tasks on my vehicles myself) but came to the conclusion that there was no viable option available to me to re-set this myself.
In the end I just bit the bullet, and paid someone else to plug their "special computer" into my van.
Annoyingly I don't even think they did what I had asked them to, (which was just re-set the SRS warning light), as now the "fasten seatbelt" warning no longer activates at all.
That had alerted perfectly accurately before I paid them to reset my SRS warning light.!
Hth.
