I have an R170 (2001) 230 SLK with Xenon headlights. The car is currently in the UK but I will be taking it to "live" in France. How do I switch the headlights to continental dip?

You'll need some LHD headlights.

Just phoned two local dealerships. Both say that even with Xenons, the type of change that can be done by adjustment is only suitable for temporary visits. If I take the car to France permanently then I need to get the lights changed. Has anyone had experience of this and how much would a pair of headlights be?

Would it be worth buying a set of projector style from ebay?
I would think you could get those for right hand cutoff/dip.
