Hi ,folks.Got the SRS light on in my SLK R171. Passenger seat pad fault. Anyone know where I can get someone with DAS star to delete the AKSE . Been to Mercedes main dealer who said the srs module is fine and because the seat pad and sensor now come together there are none in blue leather nappa available ,get a resistor fitted and it will be fine. My local garage has tried various sizes of resistor but none put the srs light out. Trying to find someone who can delete the light with star system by coding it out. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can get an emulator to fool the system. Plenty available on the web. Just bear in mind this may well interfere with how the airbags work if there is an impact. It can be coded out with a STAR system via your friendly Indie. Ours was coded out until a new seat base became available which took 6-8 weeks.

Thanks for the reply, our local indies wont code out .Could I ask where you had yours done? Have already tried a German made emulator but it didnt knock the light off. We are based in Gloucestershire .

PCS in Horndean. They had ordered the new seat base so knew it would only be a temporary issue. In fact the first seat base arrived with no sensor so it took longer than planned.

If it is has three wires connected, you could try either a 3k9 ohm resistor or 3.9 ohm.
