Slk200 Noise

Not sure if anyone has asked this question before, so if so i must apologise but its driving me nuts... Proud owner of R171 SLK200 Komp and very very pleased with it. Only problem i have is the noise of creaking when the roof is up. Every bump i go over or around corners etc, i hear right behind my ears (more from the rear drivers side) is creaking? As you would expect when the roof is down the noise goes.

Also driver side wing mirror indicator lense is constantly misted. Apart from me dismantling the thing to dry out, is there a known fix? Would Merc carry out a fix whilst i have the car serviced? Or am i just opening myself up to being ripped off ?

Any advice would be very much appreciated as both of us love the car. Just as well as i part ex my gorgeous CLK 230

For the squeaking noise, 2 possibilities spring to mind. There could be a dry seal that is squeaking as it moves, or a piece of trim is flexing and rubbing. Try lubricating the seals with a suitable rubber lubricant (fnarr!), and check for any loose or ill-fitting trim in the area of the squeak.

Thank you Dolphin. Will have a look later on today, when it stops raining ! argghhh... Any thoughts on the condensation inside the indicator lense?
