Slk recommission , part 2
Can anyone confirm if the interior lights should come on when you open a door.
The lights work on the switch but do not come on when I open a door. I can’t see a micro switch on the A post ….?

Well Greg, i just checked a 2005 SLK 200 R171 here and can confirm that the interior lights came on both when opening the door from inside within the engine shut off and also when the vehicle is unlocked via key fob. Hope that helps!

Thanks, that’s what I expected, mines a bit older, 2000, but I would assume same functions.

In my 2005 C class the rocker switch had to be in the central position for the lights to operate automatically when the doors opened
