Slk32

That does look nice. A new set of AMG mats would complete it.

I want one of these as a W/E toy to blast about in!! Only problem is i like the SLK55 soooooo much more!!

an SLK55 would be double the price :)

There's an SLK55 around by me, every time I see it I just think "mad *******".

Would love to have a go, but can't see myself owning one.

Yes i just think they are bonkers, i want one to fit Komps to with Kleeman pulleys etc and make it a real weekend nut case car.......

I only ever see it when I'm either in the Landy or heading the opposite direction - I want to provoke it with the Golf or C43 and see what happens :D

That would be amusing, use the golf, i bet that flies!! I had a TT Quattro modified to 300 BHP and that was funny catching people out that thought it was style over substance!!

She'll eat Boxster S, Type R anything, M3s for breakfast :D

The best encounters are triple bluffs, where someone in a Zafira GSi or other stealthy-fast car will think "Golf GTi! Haha! Bet he thinks it's fast!"...

Is the SLK32 a 'charged V6 like the C32 then?

Haha thats funny....:D Yes i think its same engine as C32....I remember having an M3 Evolution when they first came out, it was a rocket and i loved it. I came up behind an SLK32 on the M25 and i sat behind waiting for him to move, he floored it and so did i, to my horror it absolutely trounced me, to the point where i felt like i was going backwards!! Very very fast little car!!

Yes the SLK32 is seriously quick, 5 secs 0-60 IIRC.

The 55 is the only SLK I'd ever consider though - they sound fabulous!

That SLK32 looks fantastic, that engine bay and interior are like new.

Isn't it 0-60 in 4,7sec?

Thats very very quick, and very easy, go pedal down and hold on.

Probably see off almost anything that has a manual shift, unless your VERY good with the gears.

Looks quite 'normal' as well.

The newer SLK55 with quad pipes is a little more obviously quick :)

BMW M Coupe - 4.3 0-60 :ban:

hmmm Try 5.0 0-60 for the latest one IF you are VERY good at changing through the gears!

SLK32 is nice and very quick has the same engine as the c32 but the SLK is lighter, but I just don't like the look of it at the back!

Now bellow is what i'm talking about it's my fav car!! It's like a small SLR and in white it looks stunning and a monster!

Autocar, Top Gear and Evo all timed the M Coupe;

..and all achieved around 4.3 to 60. It's a real beast, rare and fast and definitely on my list.

As covered before here, you really can't quote manufacturer timings when talking about German cars, they lie through their teeth for some reason.

there is no way they do 0-60 in 4.3 as standard.

according to parkers they do 0-60 in 5.2s and push out 321bhp. which is about right as they have the same engine as the ones in the e36 M3, the new Z4M's are faster.

Parkers review; "Using the 3.2 litre straight-six from the M3, mated exclusively to a five-speed manual gearbox the M Coupé was, at the time, the fastest accelerating car to wear a BMW badge, getting from 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds. In 2001 it received mild revisions which saw the power output creep up 4bhp to 325 in line with the M3. Performance improved very slightly: it still got to 155mph, but made the 0-60mph dash 0.1 seconds faster"

Evo reckon it's 5.2s also

I have beaten one in my old c32 on the 1/4mile at santa pod ages ago.

I think I still have the video somewhere on my laptop, Will try and dig it out if I can!
