Slk55 exhaust

Hi there,we have just bought an SLK55 R171 and the exhaust has been altered, 2nd cat delete and x pipe, I am looking to quieten the car down and put it back to original spec, was wondering if anyone knew where I could get an exhaust ,aftermarket or second hand as a new mb one would be expensive. You might be surprised, I got a rear section for an R170 SLK230 from Mercedes for less than aftermarket prices. It even included a chrome tailpipe which was £80 aftermarket. They are willing to discount certain parts (you have to ask!) and this was one.

So did I but with the car being so old I was able to fit a non-type approved front section from BM Catalysts which kept the price down, I guess you won’t have that option.

I don't know where you are located, but Imran at Torqueflow in Armoury Rd Small Heath Birmingham can probably assist.
He has cut out loads of cats and resonators from Mercedes over time and may just have what you need hanging around his workshop.
